Body Confidential's pick of the Manchester fashion blogger who gave us wardrobe envy this week

WHEN it comes to fashion, Manchester is nailing it.

Internet start-ups Boohoo and Missguided are rapidly increasing their stake in the online shopping market, whilst independent retailers continue to enhance the northern capital’s reputation of unique fashion. Big name shopping outlets like Oliver Bonas are itching to carve their place on the Manchester high street, and inspiring young designers are showing the fashion world how we do things up North - it’s no surprise that bloggers are taking to the city centre to debut their looks.

But there’s a fine line between celebrating your carefully composed outfit of the day and taking an awkwardly-angled selfie (we tried it and we got 0 likes).

These are the Manchester-based bloggers who have given us a dangerous dose of wardrobe envy this week (credit cards at the ready, people).

Sabina’s monochrome combo - @fashernablylate

Hitting the streets of Manchester in a spring time essential, Sabina rocked a Jack Wills trench coat over a prairie girl blouse. And can we just talk about those mini-flared jeans?! Skin-tight jeans that flow into a small flare – it’s the perfect blend of trends.

Irena’s bold day look - @irenadworld

An oversized ruffled knit might scare off the faint-hearted fashionista, but Irena tames ruffles galore with a bold Cara Delevingne Mulberry bag and relaxed high-waisted jeans. (Those wishing to work SS17’s ruffle trend, take note). Pop-art style bling adds a retro finish.

Lydia’s weekend style - @lydiajanetomlinson

Oozing in effortless elegance, it’s impossible not to love everything on Lydia’s insta feed. But, it was her smart/caj ensemble that made the cut this week. Loosely tailored trousers teamed up with a plain sweatshirt and a white leather biker jacket, finished off with heeled ankle boots – it’s a perfect look for wherever the weekend takes you.

Megan’s 60’s spin - @megannntheresaa

Retro-loving Megan may be new on the blogging scene, but her bold vintage style is already getting her noticed. Paired with circular mirrored sunnies, the muted colours of this abstract floral print dress has a real 60’s feel – and few bloggers could pull off that beret.

Heather’s dressed-down 9-5 - @Sugarpea_

A tie-front jumper, cropped tailored trousers and work-worthy shoes – what’s not to love about Heather’s laidback office look? And that’s without even mentioning those ocean blue locks.

Onyi’s pretty punk - @mossonyi

Onyi spruced up head-to-toe black with a metallic thread jumper and buckled biker boots, adding a wide-brim hat for extra attitude.

Sophia’s gingham threads - @sophia_rosemary

Sophia’s retro-infused Instagram is perfect for getting a loving blast of fashions past. This gingham jumpsuit and ruffle-shoulder blouse serves as a firm favourite this week, with a red suede bag and swipe of bright lippy adding just a hint of colour.
