Seven big and bold beasties colonised the city’s rooftops
They’re not your usual festival headliners, but it’s seven monsters that are stealing the show at this year’s Halloween in the City (27-28 October); a free weekend spooktacular for all the family.
After their humorous debut - a clutch of giant tentacles on House of Fraser’s roof - proved a stonking success last year, artists Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas are back with whole entourage of comedic creatures.
Here’s where to find them…

The monsters will be in town until Sunday 28: download the trail here or check it out on Google Maps.
Elsewhere, Halloween in the City spans enchanted forests in St Ann’s Square to a roaming procession of skeleton puppets, courtesy of outdoor arts specialists Walk the Plank - promising a free weekend of tricks (and plenty more treats) for all the family.
Organised by Manchester’s Business Improvement District, Manchester BID, events take place throughout the city centre and beyond.
