BH Group is behind a new restaurant, café and hotel complex at Victoria Station

A NORTH Yorkshire property company has revealed plans to construct a new leisure scheme next to Victoria Station in Manchester, including a new restaurant, café and hotel with 187 guestrooms.

The Harrogate-based BH Group has said that the restaurant will be fronted by a celebrity chef – though they haven't disclosed who this may be, or whether they've even found one.

(Though we reckon Gino D'Acampo could do with another restaurant in the area.)

The fourteen storey development, which incorporates the grade II listed City Buildings, will be situated at the gateway to the city’s £800m NOMA development.

BH Group’s founder and managing director, James Houlston, said: “Our Manchester development, which is on track to open in September 2018, is one of a number of projects we are currently developing, and forms part of our overall long-term strategy to create a portfolio of hotels and other income-producing assets.”

Righto.

This won’t be the first foray over the Pennines for the BH Group, whose other Greater Manchester schemes include The Embankment in Stockport and Christie Fields in South Manchester.
