Whoever you’re celebrating with this year – family, friends or even colleagues – Grafene has some great plates and a suitably stylish setting with added sparkle. The three-course winter menu is £39.50 per person, and offers plenty of choice for vegetarians, pescatarians and meat-lovers alike. Menus created specifically for groups and corporate fine dining are also available, as are the Wine Cellar and Portrait Room private dining options.

Combining quintessential British eccentricity with eclectic ingredients, Ben’s spin on Christmassy classics culminates in the Festive Set Menu, with a langoustine, emulsion, gem, ketchup and cucumber starter; turkey, bacon, clay potatoes, red cabbage and parsnip for main, and chocolate, orange mousse, chock lick, granita to finish. The three courses plus surprises and a half bottle of house wine are £50 a head, while the Festive 5 To Taste menu includes the same three courses plus an extra savoury one and an extra sweet plus surprises for £55.

Christmas Day itself serves up a sumptuous menu that promises a real treat and the perfect excuse to leave the cooking (and washing-up) to someone else this year. Three courses with surprises and homemade bread cost £85 each – with dishes including a new take on old favourites, such as ham and smoked salmon starters and beef and turkey mains, Christmas pudding and chocolate log.

Bookings are also being taken for Grafene’s extra-special New Year’s Eve Celebration, when a waistband-busting seven courses plus amuse bouches and palate cleansers will help you bring in 2019 at £95 per person.
