This cosy Italian is your festive hideaway for when the mayhem gets too much

IF you're hitting the Christmas Markets this year, here's a place worth remembering when the cold and crowds start to wear you down.

Cibo is just off Deansgate, opposite the Hilton Hotel, and promises to revive you with simple Italian food, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Their Christmas decorations make it look especially enticing on dark wintry evenings. And once inside, the smell of fresh fish dishes and home-made pasta will make you happy you decided to retreat to a restaurant where you can sit down and relax for a while.

Alongside their a la carte menu, Cibo offers a Christmas menu at £28 for three courses. It includes beautiful dishes such as their fresh Cornish crab with mango dip, their rib-eye steak with fries and garlic butter sauce, and their delectable homemade tiramisu.

The menu is ideal for festive meet-ups with friends, December date nights, and Christmas parties with your colleagues.

Party organisers should take a look at their Christmas brochure. It has details of their private room which you can hire for an exclusive party, and gives prices for drinks and canapé packages.

Cibo is from the same team who run Don Giovanni on Oxford Street so you know the quality will be high. It's smaller and more casual than its sister restaurant, and takes its inspiration from the cafe-culture and food of Naples.

Whether you choose Cibo for your office party, or simply want somewhere good to eat mid shopping-trip, the team will wow you with its soulful Italian food and drink and great service.
