The Hope Street hangout has expanded its small plates offer to all day Tuesday and Wednesday

Two of Pen Factory’s tantalising small plates for £10 is a pretty great deal - little wonder it’s proved so popular. Even better, it’s now available all day Tuesday and Wednesday and 12-4pm Thursday and Friday, meaning more time to get your fill.

Tucked away below the hustle and bustle of Hope Street, right next to the Everyman Theatre, Pen Factory’s location makes it ideal for pretty much anything; from a quick lunch to a pre-theatre bite. The venue boasts an interesting history too - once home to the Lang Pen Company in the late 1800s - and the well-curated drinks menu earned a mention in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide

But the seasonal small plates are arguably one of its greatest draws. Developed by award-winning chef Tom Gill and culinary entrepreneur Paddy Byrne - the same duo behind the old Everyman Bistro - Pen Factory’s menu has even won nods from the prestigious likes of Harden's Restaurant Guide and BBC Good Food Guide.

Think Turkish lamb flatbread, chorizo with cider and honey or angry chicken with slaw. After a fish dish? Southport potted shrimps and king prawns in paprika and garlic are just some of the options in store. Veggies are well catered for too: dishes include flatbread with baba ganoush, feta, ‘poms and toms,’ plus leek, blackstix blue and walnut risotto.

Two of these beauties for just a tenner, and a top space to enjoy them in? We’re sold.

Pen Factory’s two small plates for £10 deal is available all day Tuesday and Wednesday, 12-4pm Thursday and Friday.
