Get ready for four festive cheese-based nights and a walk-in ‘cheese bar’

Leeds cheese icons Homage2Fromage, the biggest cheese events company in the north, are aiming to help you achieve that extra layer of insulation this winter, with a four-night residency at Butler’s restaurant in Kirkstall Forge in the ground floor of CEG’s Number One.

The menu will bring together the best of British and French cheeses. Think sharing boards oozing with Tete-de-Moine curls, Yorkshire Blue with honey, Lincolnshire Poacher crisps and Yellison’s Goat Cheese mousse. And if that hasn’t got you dribbling into your lap, how about raclette poured over potatoes and bacon, fondue, or baked camembert topped with smoked chorizo?

Yorkshire loves a bit of blue

With the Homage2Fromage sharing evening, you’ll get all of it and more for £35 a head (or £30 if you book before 16th November). It’s an evening aimed at groups, so tables will accommodate 4,6,8 or 10 – although there is the promise of an un-ticketed walk-in cheese bar if you can’t persuade your mates to join you in dairy heaven.

Homage2Fromage was started in Leeds in 2011, with founders Nick Copland and Vickie Rogerson offering pop-up monthly cheese nights in pubs across the city centre. Since then, the company has grown and now operates across the North of England. This isn’t their first residency either; Homage had a successful cheese café in the now-closed Lab bar in the Merrion Centre back in 2015.
